Felt Materials
The temperature your part actually sees decides the material.
PBO 600–650°C, Kevlar 480°C (up to 500°C), Nomex 260°C (up to 280°C), PPS 200°C and polyester 180°C.
Nomex/polyester blends and silicone or natural rubber cover the grades in between.

Felt materials by temperature
Start from the temperature the part actually sees, then pick the most economical fibre that handles it.
Temperatures are typical working limits for our felt; the real limit depends on contact time, load and thickness. Tell us where the part runs and we will confirm the grade.
