Kevlar Felt
Kevlar is a para-aramid fibre with very high tensile strength.
Typical working temperature 480°C, up to 500°C short-term. Yellow, or green with 20% carbon.
Used on the run-out table and cooling bed levels 1–2, and as the base layer under PBO.

Kevlar vs PBO vs Nomex
Kevlar covers the hot zone just below PBO, with the highest tensile strength of the three.
Temperatures are typical working limits for our felt; the real limit depends on contact time, load and thickness. Tell us where the part runs and we will confirm the grade.

Where Kevlar felt works best
01
Run-out table
Endless belts for the run-out table after the hot saw on presses under 2000T.
02
Cooling bed levels 1–2
Roller sleeves and pads for the lift-over and the first cooling levels.
03
Base layer under PBO
Kevlar is the strong base in our 3+7 PBO/Kevlar belts, sleeves and pads.
