A plain, smooth surface with no lint keeps the print sharp.

How we make heat transfer printing felt
01
Nomex fibre
We use 100% Nomex meta-aramid fibre.
It holds its strength at high heat and does not melt or drip.
The flame resistance is in the fibre itself, so it does not wash out or wear off.

Carding
Carding opens the fibre and combs out impurities and short lint.
We control temperature and humidity so the web stays even.
An even web is what keeps the finished felt the same thickness from edge to edge.

Web laying and needling
The web is cross-laid to about 400 g/m² per mm of thickness.
Needle punching then builds it into an endless blanket.
The weight per mm is what sets how much the blanket cushions the work.

Shrink allowance
In use the blanket shrinks about 2% in width and 3% in length.
So we make each blanket 20mm wider than the finished size.
Without that allowance the blanket would come up short after the first runs.

Sizing
Each blanket is made to your width and length or circumference.
Edges come out clean, with no loose fibre.
Send the machine model if you are not sure of the circumference and we will check it.

Needle check
Every finished piece passes through a metal detector.
No broken needle leaves the factory inside the felt.
A broken needle tip left in the felt would mark your rollers or your product.

QC staff check the raw fibre and every production step.
Certificates are on file and we can send copies with your quote.
If you need a test report with an order, ask for it before production starts.
Packing
How printing felt is packed
Blankets are rolled and wrapped for shipping.
They then go into a carton or woven bag.
Tell us if your forwarder needs different packing and we will pack to that.

What do you need to quote?
The machine make, the blanket width and its length or circumference.
The thickness of your old blanket helps. Add your delivery address for shipping.
Which thickness should I choose?
8mm is the most common.
We make 6mm to 10mm. Match what your machine runs now.
Why is the new blanket wider than I asked?
It shrinks about 2% in width in use.
The extra 20mm brings it to the right width once it settles.
How does ordering work?
We send a quote and an invoice. Production starts when payment arrives.
The balance is paid before shipment.
